Paul Friedland

Friedland has acted as arbitrator or lead counsel in numerous commercial and investment cases.

 

He has served as arbitrator in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations under all major arbitral rules (the UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, ICDR, ICSID Rules). These arbitrations have been governed by laws of New York, Delaware, Texas, California, England & Wales, and France, with claims involving billions of dollars.

​As counsel, Friedland’s commercial cases have been in insurance, power and energy, mining and metals, gaming and retail, technology and communication, and construction. He has also served as lead counsel in landmark investment treaty arbitrations.
